The Bonnet Sonnet

My Bonnet

I’m writing a sonnet about my

Bonnet.

Loving bonnets-tichels, chapo, hats

Hats are my bonnet that I’m

Writing a sonnet about.

When I first had to describe

Myself.

To someone new at shul

I explained I wear a hat

For every Shabbos meal.

Even for services I wear a hat.

Each hat matches an outfit.

People don’t know me when I

Don’t wear a hat.

And that’s that.

Now my sonnet’s complete.

Except that I have to creep.

Into my closets to get a bonnet

And write a sonnet
